This small watercolor on a blue and white patterned background continues a series of still life paintings. Since I have some wonderful dishes with a kind of traditional English pattern,  I have an endless source of inspiration. Any fruits, berries, and even flowers look just wonderful with this pattern. I really like the combination of red berries against the backdrop of fantasy flowers from the design which I previously mentioned. This time I did not frame the composition in the radius of the plate on which the fruit was placed, but left a white background space, applying a bit of decorative convention to the image.
