Small watercolor still life with two halfs of fig on the plate with english pattern made in classic realistic technique. I find that fig itself is a the perfect artobject. The juicy flesh of fruit is sparkling with sun glares. The dark violet peel contrasts with white edge and complement light rose, yellow and orange tones of flesh. The white plate with a blue floral pattern serves as decoration background for a fruit and vivifies the composition. Instead of white color I used a lot of white paper to preserve an essential transparet texture of watercolor. For this still life perfectly fits dark blue or green mat with white frame.
