In this small painting, I tried my hand in the nude genre. Actually, I like to paint a live model a lot, despite mostly I painting flowers and still lifes. At the beginning, I conceived this session as a preparatory etude for a large painting, but eventually, I find this work separate enough and nice in this size and rendition. The lonely woman figure sitting on the crumpled bed in the morning bedroom looks a bit meditative and relax. The soft morning light smooths the details and colors, and the only black pattern on the foreground carpet keeps contrast.
