To create this painting I was inspired by works of famous french artist Odilon Redon. I like his flower pieces, and especially anemones. I find the combination of deep violet anemones with warm ochre background absolutely superb. 

This rich and gorgeous bouquet of anemone flowers I decided to depict using an oval canvas. There are some different colors of flowers: ultramarine blue, deep violet, and carmine pink anemones. Each flower has it's own character, individual form and color tone. The velvet structure of the petals softly reflects the light and looks mystically and attractive.
