Although oil painting has no equal according to achieving the depth of color and variety of textures, watercolor with its transparency and lightness always gives a lot of positive emotions, if not about the result, but for sure during the process. Watercolor provides unique painting opportunities with its smooth wet gradients, or when necessary graphic hardness. It allows to create a pictorial space on paper to the extent conditional, but at the same time quite detailed and realistic. In my opinion, flowers are just an endless field for experimenting with the watercolor technique. Tulips with ragged petals on this picture are my favorite variety of tulips. The most difficult and at the same time the most interesting during the painting process was to choose the correct pink hue, on the verge of magenta and purple. Not too cold and not too warm, this fluorescent color looks almost artificial and unnatural. But totally magnetic and chic.
