In March from my studio window opens a beautiful view of the garden with a lushly blossoming cherry tree. Usually, we travel a lot; only this year is different since we've spent a lot of time at home because of the lockdown. That's why I have finally had a chance to paint this wonderful view. Despite the small size of the picture and seemingly carefree technique, I worked on it for several days. Due to the unpredictable March weather, the lighting changed frequently: the sun gave way to rainy clouds, and at some point, it seemed to me that I would not be able to finish the painting before the short-lived petals fell if I had to keep waiting for the necessary lighting. But fortunately, I succeeded. In this painting, I tried to capture the atmosphere, the variety of colors and light, and the liveliness of nature. I did not try to make the  painting closer to the snapshot, deliberately simplifying some details and approaching in some sense to abstraction. But it was also important for me to preserve visual recognition of nature as it is in reality.
